Eleonore Thun-Hohenstein,
born in 1924 in Ravne in present-day Slovenia. Studied philosophy and psychology in Freiburg and Vienna.
Doctoral thesis on Max Scheler. From 1955 to 1963 at "Die Presse" newspaper, from 1960 head of the culture department.
Move to the "Wochenpresse" weekly paper in 1963, where she was head of the newly created "Science" department. Received the Ministry of Science prize for science journalism in 1973. In addition to publications in Austrian and foreign journals, author of the books: "Aristokraten" (Aristocrats) a novel, "Tiere sprechen unsere Sprache" (Animals speak our language) non-fiction, "Der Fürst" (The Prince) a biographical novel. Since 1984 independent author.
